Join the Movement to Keep St. Tammany Drug-Free
The Seymore D’Fair Foundation invites you to be part of a transformational initiative that brings together schools, businesses, and families across St. Tammany Parish. Through the Wrap St. Tammany in Red program, we aim to foster a drug-free culture for our youth, one community effort at a time. Imagine a future where every child feels empowered to make healthy choices and every community member plays a role in creating a safe, supportive environment. Together, we can make this vision a reality.
What Is Wrap St. Tammany in Red?
The Wrap St. Tammany in Red initiative is a bold step in the fight against drug abuse. It’s more than an event—it’s a movement that unites the entire parish in a week-long celebration during National Red Ribbon Week. At the heart of this initiative is Seymore D’Fair, our Drug-Free Ambassador, who inspires children and adults alike to commit to a drug-free lifestyle.
Through vibrant community events, school-based activities, and creative expressions like red ribbons adorning buildings and landmarks, Wrap St. Tammany in Red symbolizes hope and resilience. Each ribbon tied represents a promise to protect our youth and equip them with the tools to make informed, healthy decisions.
How the Initiative Works
Wrap St. Tammany in Red combines education, community engagement, and visibility to promote its drug-free message. It starts with Kiki’s Red Ribbon Week School Program, which offers age-appropriate, interactive modules for students from kindergarten through high school. These lessons teach self-esteem, decision-making, and strategies to handle peer pressure. For older students, activities like role-playing, workshops, and creative campaigns make learning both engaging and impactful.
The initiative also encourages community-wide participation. Local businesses, schools, and government offices join forces to create a visual tapestry of red ribbons, banners, and flags throughout the parish. In addition, the campaign’s specialty license plates, emblazoned with the message “Louisiana is Better with Me 100% Drug-Free,” bring this movement to the streets, creating millions of impressions across St. Tammany Parish.
Making a Difference Together
The impact of Wrap St. Tammany in Red extends far beyond a single week. Over the years, it has helped:
Reach thousands of students with essential life skills.
Forge meaningful partnerships with schools, businesses, and local agencies.
Create 4.3 million impressions through specialty license plates, spreading awareness on the roads of our parish.
"Wrap St. Tammany in Red is more than a campaign—it’s a movement bringing our community together to protect and educate our youth," says a Parish Official. Every effort made by individuals, schools, and businesses strengthens the message that St. Tammany stands united against drug abuse.
